Rating consistent at 4.3 stars over past year. Service timing concerns balanced by product quality praise.
“Mervin Detweiler took time out of his day to go to Fairport to convert my trolling motor to an I-pilot system. He did a fantastic job and was very knowledgeable about how the system works. He took his time and made sure I knew how everything worked as well. The store is absolutely amazing, a huge selection of fishing rods and tackle. His prices are below many other outdoor Sporting Goods stores, and his staff was very kind and friendly. I read several reviews that were complaints and from my experience, I just do not understand the reasoning for the negative comments! I have already recommended Detweiler Outdoors to several of my friends that are in the market for either engine repairs or equipment.”
— Ed Samec“If you love the outdoors, then you'll love this place. Whether it's fishing, hunting, or camping, they'll have it. They have a lot of locally made products also that you might not find anywhere else. Great people and great service. I highly recommend stopping in there to check it out.”
